A Sterling Silver necklace with engraved long poem and illustrations that work with it including stars, baskets and a globe.
The silver long panels are lettered with an Emily Dickinson fragment reading:’ Perhaps I asked too large-/I take-no less than skies-/For Earths, grow thick as/Berries, in my native town-/ My Basket holds-just-Firmaments-/Those- dangle easy- on my arm,/But smaller bundles- Cram’. The panels are interspersed with chain lengths and illustrations and the necklace is deigned to be worn in a very loose way- any way round, long or short- motifs to the centre or the side.
The chain is handmade in a mixture of round and pear drop shapes-and is quite light but strong. The necklace closes with a Large Bolt ring clasp and can be worn on any of the integral chain loops to suit different necklines. Full length is 57.5 cm with the ability to adjust down to any size
This is a handmade piece that is hallmarked as Sterling Silver.
Shipping is free and the necklace will arrive in packaging with a cotton bag for ongoing care
